Mike's Gym



As Mike explains it, his class is designed to sharpen striking skills and build endurance through junan taiso exercise and dakentaijutsu striking concepts. Utilizing heavy bags, speed bags and handheld targets to strengthen our bodies and spirit through interval-based training. Mike teaches a striking class weekly at the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo. THRIVE Yoga of Dayton



THRIVE is a welcoming yoga community sharing the journey to discover the self, find and renew energy and a peaceful heart through the practice of asanas, pranayama, finding focus in drishti and mindful meditation. Yoga classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at the Dojo. Program costs and details are in the link below.


THRIVE Yoga Program

Tai Chi Program



Taiji (Tai Chi) is a multi dimensional movement system incorporating martial, meditative, and energetic orientations. Tai chi improves balance and lower body strength as well as limberness and general flexibility. Students learn the yang style short form as well as push hands practice.


Carmine Anastasio teaches the Tai Chi Program through ten-week courses offered multiple times a year. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with decades of taichi study. He teaches the yang form, focusing on deepening the understanding of the essential combination of breath and movement in the meditative taichi forms.
