Daishihan Paul Masse returns to the USA from Japan to share his unique perspective on Hatsumi Sensei's budo. For over two and a half decades, Paul Masse has lived in Japan and trained directly with Sensei. During the pandemic, Paul's "Chats from the Kasumi An" connected budoka from around the world with the latest in Japan by sharing insights, news, and stories. Many of these calls delved into the gokui. Various Bujinkan Soke and Daishihan joined him as special guests. Along with his considerable history with the Bujinkan, Paul juggles chainsaws on unicycles, paints Japanese Calligraphy (Shodo), ink painting (Suiboku), and Japanese Pottery. Such skills have been on display at various exhibitions in Japan and have given him unique insight to Sensei's own strange skillset. Furthermore, Paul Masse has traveled across India, studying Yoga. This incredible flexibility combines with his study of the Junan Taiso for a powerful expression of Hatsumi Sensei's movement. Paul teaches at the Honbu Dojo and his Yokohama Bujinkan Dojo, the Kasumi An Study Center in Noda, and his youtube channel: Ninja Oyaji Paul. This December, Paul will be bringing these talents and more to Lexington, Kentucky.
